The location is perfect, having been to New York before this time round it was so much easier to get about and see everything. I felt safe walking around the area alone. Everything you need from food to clothing, chemist, bars, coffee shops etc are all around you. Walking distance to Times Square, right by Columbus circle & Central Park. The iconic Empire sign makes it easy to find too! Our room was a great size & had everything we needed. Cleaners happy to clean every day if you wanted. All the staff are polite & always happy to assist you. Only downfall was I got up early every morning so it would have been great to get up onto the roof top to start the day with a swim & a coffee. But it doesn’t open until 11am so I had left by then. It’s a very small pool area with limited beds, especially in the sun so you have to try & catch a less busy time so considering the main reason I booked was for the rooftop pool I only got near it once in 8 days. I did manage to enjoy the sun from the corner seating but then eventually asked to leave. For bookings arriving. So be sure to pre-book & reserve some seating space…as the rooftop is open to the public it gets very busy. Even when ordering cocktails I was moved from place to place as all the seating areas (even those without reserved signs were actually reserved) which was quite embarrassing infront of people. So that was a shame as I had no choice but to move indoors. So I didn’t feel like as a guest we were a priority when it came to up on the rooftop. There should maybe be seating areas just for staying guests to accommodate. But overall because of the great location, nice rooms & staff I would stay here again 👍🏾👍🏾

The location is excellent for getting downtown on the subway. Walking distance to Central Park, Dakota Building (John Lennon), Times Square and Broadway. Complimentary bottles of water at reception whenever you needed. Really friendly and helpful staff. Shame the pool and outside seating ( Roof top) under the Empire sign was closed but we did visit in March, so expected the pool to be closed. Target close by for any essentials you may need and cafes. Loved our stay here. Every day we got fresh towels and toiletries and our room cleaned if we wanted it.

Cleanliness and well maintained. Excellent location: nearby metro stop for 1 line was easy connection to family in West Village. Also bus stops close to hotel to connect you to other parts of the city. Plenty of restaurants, breakfast spots, and shopping within walking distance. And of course, the proximity to Central Park. Room size was better than some NYC hotel rooms I've stayed in. Checking in and out was a breeze. I always felt safe returning to my the hotel at night.

We are a family of 5 so we loved the size of our suite and the free upgrade to an adjoining room meant that everyone had a bed of their own and we had a second bathroom as well! The huge king size bed was very comfortable and so were all the other beds. It was perfectly located within walking distance to Central Park, the Lincoln Centre, subway, restaurants. The staff were friendly and helpful.

It’s in a great location. I overlooked the street but found it quiet, considering. Nice view from My window! The staff was pleasant and the bed very comfortable, the bedding crisp.
